I used to really hate the summer. Sure, the snow melts, the trees bloom, and people are generally in cheerier moods (or maybe that's spring--so many seasons, I get them confused)... but coffee just isn't the same. There is nothing like a warm cup of joe on a cold morning--but those are few and far between in those dreary months between Memorial Day and Labor Day.Then I discovered iced coffee.
It's so simple, really. Basically, you take coffee and put it in the refrigerator. Then you take ice and you put it in the coffee. If you really want to be sure that you don't mess it up, I've got directions for you right here. I mean, I knew it could be done because Starbucks does it, but I just didn't think it was so simple. Even though putting ice in other beverages is easy, for some reason I thought it would be more difficult with coffee. But it's not. And this coffee will produce an amazing chilled glass of java.
