Soap is a great gift. Sure, the recipient might think you are sending him a message something like: "Hey, how about a bath once in awhile? Maybe this soap will help you overcome that overwhelming stench that everyone associates with you." Of course, if you friend thinks something like that when he gets this gift, then he probably has problem and needs the soap. He probably also needs a good bar of anti-persperent.

See, a confident, hygienically aware, and well-groomed recipient would simply assume that you know how much she appreciates cleanliness, and that you wanted to share in this important aspect of her life.

And yes, the obvious implication above is that men stink. Only literally, of course.
