Abstract Twisty Drum Man

This drum reminds me of one of those pictures on a string that kids use to play with in the 20's.  They would twist the string back and forth and you would see both sides of the picture, so it would make it look like a bird in a cage (for instance).  The problem with these is that it ends up being kind of freaky.  It makes it look like a face looking in both directions at once.  Like a monster or something.  Or someone with a really powerful and fast neck.  Yet the person for some reason chooses to keep moving their face toward this ball that hits them over and over.  That part I can't explain.  You would think someone with such a strong neck would avoid getting hit in the face.  But maybe the drum person is into that sort of thing.
